This new headcount will sit on a growing Coverage & Complex Claims team and partner closely with claims and underwriting to deliver practical, timely advice on complex coverage questions.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a go‑to legal resource for coverage issues spanning CGL, public entity, commercial auto, and workers' compensation.
  • Draft and refine coverage analyses, including opinions, RORs, and declinations.
  • Interpret policy language and apply multi‑jurisdictional insurance law to real‑time claim scenarios.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel on complex or escalated matters.
  • Contribute to a fast‑moving, team‑oriented environment where clear writing and sound judgment drive outcomes.
  • Report to the Vice President & Assistant General Counsel within the coverage function.

Emphasis: They're focused on commercial coverage (Fortune‑500 level, complex risk). Candidates whose background is primarily first‑party or personal lines will not be the right fit.

What You'll Bring

  • J.D. and active bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3-4+ years of insurance coverage experience
  • Demonstrated experience with CGL (priority), plus exposure to public entity, commercial auto, and workers' compensation.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills; you can translate complex analyses into clear, business‑ready guidance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage high‑volume work and parallel priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Work authorization in the U.S. now and long‑term (no sponsorship).
