Contract Specialist
Overview:
A leading engineering and manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to join its dynamic Legal team in Tulsa, OK or La Palma, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting complex projects in the manufacturing and power generation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of contracts and agreements with customers and vendors.
- Ensure contracts comply with corporate risk standards and legal principles.
- Coordinate insurance matters including claims, certificates, and renewals.
- Support export control and sanctions due diligence in collaboration with external counsel.
- Assist with contractor licensing applications and renewals.
- Provide support for corporate governance and other legal administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration with legal negotiation exposure.
- Experience in manufacturing or power generation industries preferred.
- Notary license or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of commercial terms and legal implications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- High ethical standards and excellent communication skills.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, and SharePoint.
- Experience with contract management software is a plus.
