My client is a leading and growing Leading Commodities Firm and we are recruiting for a Compliance Officer professional to be based in the Singapore office.
Responsibilities for this Compliance Officer - Leading Commodities Firm role
- Conduct KYC, sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and reputational screening on counterparties.
- Support onboarding, ongoing monitoring, high-risk reviews, and escalation of compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready KYC records and documentation. Provide day-to-day compliance support to trading and business teams across the region.
- Advise on sanctions, market conduct, trade controls, and regulatory risks relating to counterparties, cargoes, and vessels.
- Support regulatory, banking, and enhanced due diligence requests.
- Assist the Head of Compliance with operational and strategic compliance initiatives.
Requirements for this Compliance Officer - Leading Commodities Firm role
- At least 3 years of compliance experience in trading houses or commodity firms
- Basic understanding of compliance frameworks, AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of financial or commodities trading environments is advantageous.
- Independent and strong self-initiative.
