The Associate General Counsel will be responsible for…
- Leading and managing complex commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Handling a wide range of legal matters across the business within a lean legal team environment
- Supporting business stakeholders by providing practical, strategic legal advice
- Overseeing regulatory-related workflows in coordination with two paralegals
- Managing multiple priorities and acting as a key legal point of contact internally
- Contributing to legal processes and supporting the company's continued growth in a dynamic environment
The Associate General Counsel should have the following qualifications:
- JD and licensed attorney in good standing
- 8+ years of experience, ideally with strong transactional or commercial contract background
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Ability to operate independently in a lean, high-responsibility environment
- Strong business acumen and ability to partner with stakeholders across functions
- Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to take on a broad range of legal work
- Insurance or reinsurance experience is a plus, but not required
