Senior Counsel at Leader in Financial Market Data
Larson Maddox is currently engaged on a Senior Legal Counsel search with a leader in the financial market data industry. This role will report directly into the Head of Legal and support strategic initiatives, transactional matters, and handle general corporate and regulatory legal work.
This role ideally sits hybrid in Oakland, California or Chicago, Illinois. Remote candidates may be considered.
Ideal candidate comes has a trading firm background or spent significant time in an adjacent environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Investments
- Managing client relationships with inbound investor
- Supporting joint ventures and development agreements from start to finish
- Transactional/Commercial
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with strategic vendors and suppliers
- Improve department efficiency when it comes to managing contracts and working cross functionally with the sales and finance teams
- Regulatory/Compliance
- Regulatory support as it relates to SEC and international regulatory agencies.
- InfoSec: leading efforts to continue to develop and monitor the company's security program
- Litigation
- Management of outside counsel as needed
Qualifications
- 10+ year of relevant legal experience
- JD from a top 50 law school
- Law firm experience at AmLaw 200 preferred
- In house experience required in the trading/market data and/or across the financial sector
