Regulatory Relations Specialist
Role Overview
Join a dynamic Regulatory Relations team supporting compliance and engagement efforts for a group of regulated entities, including global trade repository operations. This role plays a key part in managing interactions with domestic and international regulatory bodies and ensuring timely, accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.
Location: Hybrid (based out of Hoboken, NJ)
Compensation: $140,000-$170,000 base salary, plus bonus
Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the organization and global regulatory authorities
Coordinate responses to regulatory requests by gathering information across departments and levels
Review and track regulatory submissions for completeness and timeliness
Organize and manage onsite regulatory examinations, including meeting logistics and document preparation
Prepare briefing materials and key messaging for meetings with regulators
Draft internal reports, summaries, and other documentation for leadership and stakeholders
Support internal reporting related to examinations, meetings, and ad hoc regulatory matters
Uphold compliance standards by following established procedures and identifying potential risks
Provide general support to the Regulatory Relations leadership team as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Familiarity with global regulatory bodies such as ESMA, FCA, MAS, or similar authorities
Experience in derivatives or financial markets is a plus
Flexibility to work outside standard business hours to accommodate global time zones
