A nationally recognized Am Law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a real estate attorney looking to work on a diverse mix of sophisticated commercial real estate matters within a collaborative, full-service platform. The firm offers broad exposure to complex transactions, strong mentorship, a clear path for professional growth, and the opportunity to work alongside attorneys across multiple practice areas and industry teams.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of real estate experience and a strong foundation in commercial real estate transactions. This role provides the opportunity to represent developers, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders in a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and leasing arrangements.
In addition to transactional real estate experience, the firm is particularly interested in candidates with exposure to disputes and litigation arising from real estate development and infrastructure projects. Preferred experience includes matters involving eminent domain, inverse condemnation, complex title issues, construction-related disputes, and environmental or regulatory compliance matters. Candidates should be comfortable analyzing complex legal issues, managing multiple matters simultaneously, and working directly with clients and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of real estate law experience
- Experience handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and lending transactions
- Preferred experience involving:
- Eminent domain and inverse condemnation matters
- Complex title disputes
- Construction claims and related disputes
- Environmental regulatory and compliance issues
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional development
Compensation
- Base salary range: $205,000 - $220,000
- Eligibility for quarterly and annual objective bonus programs
- Additional annual discretionary bonus opportunities
