A leading global labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced CaseSmart Counsel, Charges attorney with 6+ years of employment law experience to join its innovative Littler CaseSmart (LCS) team. This fully remote opportunity allows attorneys to focus on high‑level agency charge defense and client communication-without the demands of business development.

This is an exceptional role for attorneys who enjoy sophisticated employment work in a flexible, tech‑forward environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Defend employers in administrative agency matters at both the federal and state levels.
  • Draft persuasive position statements and responses to agency requests for information.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned administrative charges and demand letters from investigation through conclusion.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, agencies, and internal teams regarding case strategy and developments.
  • Represent clients in remote mediations and settlement negotiations.
  • Utilize Littler CaseSmart's workflow systems and technology tools to deliver efficient, high‑quality legal service.

Key Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 6 years of employment law experience, including drafting position statements and representing clients in agency matters, hearings, and/or mediations.
  • Experience handling EEOC and state agency charges on the management side strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and time‑management skills.
  • Active bar license in:
    • The attorney's state of residence
    • AND California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Colorado, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, or Vermont.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, remote work environment.
