About the Role
A well-established and growing litigation practice is seeking Defense Litigation Attorneys to support continued expansion across its general liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice teams.
The firm is actively building out bench strength across these practice areas and is open to attorneys with experience in any of the above, offering the opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing group handling sophisticated defense matters across California.
This role provides the chance to take ownership of your caseload while working within a flexible, predominantly remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of defense-side litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts
- Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk and litigation exposure
- Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to drive efficient case outcomes
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- 3-15 years of defense-side litigation experience preferred
- Experience in general liability, professional liability, or medical malpractice strongly preferred
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment
