EPLI/Gen Liab Counsel
Our client is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its growing General Liability or EPLI practice at an Of Counsel role. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected, AV-rated litigation firm known for its strong reputation in insurance defense, professional liability, employment law, and complex civil litigation throughout California. Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution
- Draft motions, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
- Conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and argue motions
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates and recommendations
- Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy, litigation planning, and resolution efforts
- Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation
- Appear in person for case-related matters as needed
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience in one of the following: general liability, insurance defense, professional liability, employment defense, or related litigation matters
- Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills
- Experience independently managing cases from inception through resolution
- Deposition, court appearance, and motion practice experience required
- Trial experience preferred but not required
- Active California bar license in good standing
