Litigation Associate (Junior Level) - Sacramento, CA
A respected management-side labor and employment law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join its Sacramento office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with approximately 1-3 years of litigation experience who is looking to develop a sophisticated employment law practice while working alongside experienced attorneys.
The successful candidate will assist with all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing and responding to written discovery, conducting legal research, preparing motions, and supporting matters before administrative agencies. Attorneys in this role will have significant opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and hands-on client interaction.
While prior labor and employment experience is advantageous, candidates with strong litigation backgrounds from other practice areas are strongly encouraged to apply. The firm values attorneys who demonstrate excellent analytical abilities, superior written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic legal environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Approximately 1-3 years of litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000-$170,000, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, market conditions, and internal compensation considerations.
