Construction / General Liability Associate Attorney - Hybrid
We have partnered with a nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking a Construction/General Liability Associate Attorney to join its New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with at least four years of litigation experience to work on high-impact cases in a collaborative and supportive environment.
About the Role
You will be part of a seasoned team handling a wide range of matters including general liability, construction litigation, transportation, and insurance defense. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a clear path for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage a caseload involving general liability, construction accidents (NYS Labor Law), transportation, and insurance defense.
Handle all aspects of litigation including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Collaborate with partners and team members on complex legal matters.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates and strategic guidance.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice in New York State.
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, including trial or mediation exposure.
Experience in general liability, premises liability, and insurance defense.
Familiarity with NYS Labor Law (Sections 200, 240, 241) is a strong plus.
OSHA hearing experience or background with Corporation Counsel or DA's Office is a plus.
Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage cases independently and efficiently.
