Trial Attorney - Medical Malpractice - Verdict Experience
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Trial Attorney to join our dynamic team in New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive trial experience and a proven track record of taking cases to verdict. This role requires a deep understanding of medical malpractice law, strong litigation skills, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through trial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in medical malpractice cases, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Engage in discovery, including depositions and interrogatories.
- Present cases effectively in court, including opening statements, witness examinations, and closing arguments.
- Collaborate with medical experts to develop case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
- Maintain client relationships and provide regular updates on case progress.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation.
- Extensive trial experience with a proven track record of taking cases to verdict.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
