Junior Partner - Restructuring & Bankruptcy

A premier, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a highly skilled and business-minded Junior Partner to join its Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice group. This is a strategic growth hire for a dynamic team handling some of the most complex and high-profile insolvency matters in the country. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experience, preferably from a large law firm, and a strong track record of success in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings.

Junior Partner - Restructuring & Bankruptcy Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings, distressed M&A, and cross-border insolvency matters.
  • Lead and manage case strategy, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams across complex restructuring engagements.
  • Draft and negotiate restructuring support agreements, DIP financing documents, and bankruptcy court filings.
  • Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on business development initiatives and client growth strategies.
  • Mentor and supervise associates, contributing to the development of the practice group.

Junior Partner - Restructuring & Bankruptcy Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing (preferably North Carolina).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in restructuring and bankruptcy law, with significant exposure to large-scale corporate restructurings.
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm or boutique with a strong restructuring practice is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead matters independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.
