A highly regarded California-based law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate (4-7 years) to join its growing San Francisco office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for clients ranging from emerging companies to multinational organizations, while gaining meaningful exposure to both high-stakes litigation and strategic workplace counseling.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
- Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Handle complex employment matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, and wage & hour claims.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, investigations, and risk mitigation.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys while taking a leadership role on case teams.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through direct interaction and strategic counseling.
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active California Bar admission.
- 4-7 years of California employment law experience.
- Experience managing employment litigation matters with increasing independence.
- Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and client counseling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise junior attorneys and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $265,000 - $332,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Eligibility for discretionary and hours-based bonus opportunities.
