Virtual Office Special Counsel (Remote)
- Overview
- National management-side labor and employment law practice seeks experienced employment attorneys to join its Virtual Office as Special Counsel.
- Mostly remote role designed for senior-level practitioners who want a full-cycle litigation practice with added flexibility.
- Key Responsibilities
- Handle administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation matters.
- Manage matters for a wide range of clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).
- Develop case strategies and oversee matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, position statements, and other legal work product.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Represent clients at hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
- Supervise and mentor attorneys and collaborate with paralegals and shared administrative support.
- Primary focus on administrative charges, demand letters, and single-plaintiff litigation.
- Potential involvement in class actions, PAGA matters, and other labor and employment law issues.
- Limited travel required, primarily local.

- Dedicated paralegal support and shared secretarial resources.
- Emphasis on efficiency, high-quality legal work, and consistent client service.
- Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- Strong ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Preferred Experience
- Prior law firm practice.
- Experience handling EPLI-covered matters.
- Admission to the California bar.
