Corporate Counsel
A high-growth, venture-backed technology business is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with business leaders on a broad range of legal matters while helping support a rapidly scaling organization.
The successful candidate will operate as a strategic advisor across multiple functions, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives and contributing to key business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as one of the primary legal partners for commercial transactions and customer-facing agreements.
- Deliver practical guidance to stakeholders on day-to-day legal and business issues.
- Support new product launches, strategic growth initiatives, and evolving business operations.
- Identify legal risks and develop solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve contracting workflows and operational efficiency.
- Assist with governance, entity maintenance, and corporate housekeeping activities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving compliance, employment, privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
- Help establish scalable frameworks, policies, and processes to support continued growth.
Qualifications
- J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of legal experience gained in a law firm, in-house legal department, or combination of both.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into straightforward business advice.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities independently.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization.
- Experience supporting technology-driven or fast-growing businesses is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial contracting, corporate matters, and general business counseling
