The successful candidate will play a key role in negotiating critical vendor and technology agreements while advising on legal and commercial risks associated with a broad range of business initiatives. The position offers significant exposure to emerging issues involving artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data privacy, intellectual property, and enterprise technology procurement.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
- Software and SaaS agreements
- Data licensing agreements
- Technology and vendor contracts
- Consulting and professional services agreements
- Outsourcing arrangements
- Confidentiality and intellectual property agreements
- Partner directly with technology, procurement, information security, privacy, and business teams to provide practical legal advice.
- Advise stakeholders on contractual risk, cybersecurity concerns, data usage, AI-related issues, and third-party vendor relationships.
- Develop and refine contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and legal processes that support a growing global organization.
- Help drive efficiency across contract management and legal operations functions.
- Manage outside counsel and external legal resources when needed.
What They're Looking For
- J.D. and active bar membership.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial contracts.
- Background in technology transactions, software licensing, data agreements, or vendor contracting.
- Experience at a leading law firm and/or within a financial institution, asset manager, hedge fund, or similarly sophisticated organization.
- Ability to independently manage negotiations and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.
