Part-Time Junior Attorney or Senior Paralegal

Location: Milwaukee
Schedule: Part-Time (flexible hours)


This position has the potential of temp-to-hire on a full time basis for the right individual.

Overview

Our client, a leading automotive company, is seeking a junior-level attorney or experienced senior/lead paralegal to support our legal team on a part-time basis. This role will focus on SEC Filings, Corporate Governance, and commercial contracting.This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for flexibility, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

SEC & Public Company Compliance

  • Prepare and file Section 16 reports (Forms 3, 4, and 5)

  • Maintain Section 16 tracking and compliance calendars

  • Assist with proxy statement preparation and related disclosures

NYSE & Regulatory Filings

  • Support NYSE listing compliance and ongoing reporting requirements

  • Coordinate and prepare required filings and communications

Corporate Governance & Entity Management

  • Assist with legal entity governance and maintenance

  • Prepare board and committee materials, resolutions, and minutes

  • Maintain corporate records and entity management systems

Commercial Contracts

  • Review, draft, and negotiate supplier and vendor agreements

  • Identify key legal and business risks and propose practical solutions

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient contract execution


Qualifications

  • JD and active bar admission (preferred), OR

  • Senior/lead paralegal experience with significant exposure to public company work

Experience:

  • 1-4 years of experience (law firm or in-house) for attorneys, OR

  • 5+ years of relevant experience for paralegals

  • Experience with commercial contracts, especially supplier/vendor agreements

  • Familiarity with SEC filings (Forms 3/4/5, proxy statements) and Section 16 compliance

  • Exposure to NYSE compliance and corporate governance practices preferred

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time capacity

  • Practical, business-oriented approach to legal issues

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
