Employment & Labor Associate - Los Angeles (Hybrid)
A top‑tier law firm with a sophisticated national client base is seeking a senior Employment & Labor Associate (5-7 years) to join its Los Angeles office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑profile employment litigation matters while stepping into increased responsibility and leadership within a growing practice.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in complex employment litigation, including class and representative actions, and be looking for a platform that offers premium work, top‑of‑market compensation, and a clear trajectory for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution
- Handle complex cases, including:
- Wage & hour class actions
- PAGA representative actions
- Federal and state court litigation and arbitration
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and oversee discovery
- Provide employment counseling, including:
- Employee handbooks and policies
- Onboarding and separation materials
- Leave, accommodation, and disciplinary issues
- Collaborate with clients and partners on strategy and risk management
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Active California State Bar membership
- 5-7 years of employment litigation experience
- Demonstrated experience with wage & hour class actions and PAGA matters
- Strong advocacy, writing, and client‑facing skills
- Ability to take ownership of cases and work independently
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Approximately $325,000 to $365,000, depending on experience
