Litigation Associate - Remote (West Virginia Licensed)
Location: Remote (West Virginia-based)
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 annually + bonus eligibility
A dynamic and respected law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its growing Litigation Business Unit. This is a remote position, but candidates must be licensed in West Virginia and available for in-person court appearances as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Prepare for and participate in trials, hearings, and depositions
- Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 2+ years of commercial litigation experience
- Demonstrated trial preparation and courtroom experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage files independently and efficiently
- Eagerness to learn new areas of law
- Top 20% of law school class and Law Review experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Oil and gas litigation experience is a plus, but not required
