Legal & Compliance Associate - Quant Trading Firm
My client is a fast-growing global quantitative trading business hiring a Legal & Compliance Associate based in Singapore. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements, with the opportunity to build broad experience across both legal and compliance functions in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to ongoing monitoring of compliance frameworks and assist with internal control assessments
- Support onboarding processes across trading venues, intermediaries, and counterparties, including documentation and due diligence
- Carry out background checks and risk reviews on business relationships, including drafting summaries of findings
- Manage and update internal policies, procedures, and firmwide documentation repositories
- Assist with external information requests from financial counterparties
- Review a range of commercial and legal documentation and flag key issues where appropriate
- Coordinate with external parties on regulatory or operational queries
- Support the administration of compliance tools and internal systems
- Track regulatory updates and share key developments with relevant stakeholders
- Assist in monitoring trading-related alerts and raising issues when required
- Maintain regulatory registrations and corporate filings as needed
What They're Looking For
- Legally qualified, ideally in Singapore
- Around 3-5 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with good organisational and prioritisation capabilities
- Exposure to financial markets, trading activities, or investment operations
