Labor & Employment Associate
A leading management-side labor and employment law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated employment litigation practice while working with a collaborative and innovative team.
The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of litigation experience, with labor and employment law experience strongly preferred. Candidates should be capable of independently managing employment disputes and effectively partnering with clients on workplace-related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of employment litigation matters, including:
- Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
- Wage and hour disputes under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related state laws
- Other workplace and employment-related claims
- Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including:
- Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing for and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Developing case strategy and providing practical legal guidance to clients
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to deliver exceptional client service
- Utilize legal technology and emerging AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency, work product quality, and client outcomes
Qualifications
- 3-8 years of litigation experience, with employment litigation experience preferred
- Experience handling employment-related disputes and workplace claims
- Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and case management skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated professional who works effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interest in leveraging technology and innovative legal tools
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Georgia Bar admission required
