Infrastructure Counsel

Our client, a leading financial guaranty insurance company, specializing in the municipal bond and infrastructure projects insurance is looking to bring on an experienced attorney with a transactional background to join its legal team, focusing on their domestic & international infrastructure finance transactions. This role will be based out of the company's New York City office on a hybrid in office schedule. On top of compensation, the company offers an industry leading benefits package.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with deal origination teams responsible for international and domestic infrastructure transactions including negotiating, structuring, and documentation
  • Work alongside domestic and international credit teams to identify and structure transactions around credit related issues and others
  • Assist surveillance teams on ongoing monitoring of closed transactions
  • Manage and work with outside counsel

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor
  • Ideally experience working in Big Law or similar
  • 7 + YOE with complex infrastructure transactions
  • Understanding of legal and commercial risks
  • Ability to manage and prioritize issues with outside counsel
  • Ability to be in New York City office on a hybrid schedule
