As the firm is expanding into new markets and re-shaping the investment category, C-suite that came from prestigious traditional finance firms are looking to bring on a deal focused legal hire overseeing legal strategy across an exceptionally fast paced environment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications of the General Counsel:
- 8+ years of experience within a Big Law and/or in-house environment
- JD from an accredited law school
- Partner closely with senior executives, investment professionals, and external advisors to execute high‑velocity M&A, manage public‑company‑grade compliance requirements, and ensure the legal infrastructure supports the firm's rapid evolution.
- Lead, manage, and negotiate a high volume of M&A transactions from deal origination through due diligence, structuring, drafting, negotiation, and closing; Public company experience a plus
- Advise on integration planning, post‑acquisition governance, and ongoing portfolio legal needs.
- Develop legal playbooks and processes to support repeated, accelerated deal cycles.
- Build and oversee legal frameworks; Advise executive leadership and Board‑level stakeholders on risk, governance, and regulatory trends.
- Provide expert guidance on a range of matters including commercial agreements, employment, IP, privacy, litigation, and risk management.
- Thrives in a rapid‑fire environment with simultaneous deal processes and shifting priorities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to scale legal frameworks alongside a fast‑expanding business.
- Comfortable serving as both a strategic thought partner and a hands‑on operator.
