Entertainment - Litigation Associate General Cousnel

A world-renowned, family-friendly entertainment and hospitality company is looking to hire an Associate General Counsel focusing on Litigation. This established legal team is looking for an expert in general liability and litigation. If you are an attorney who is looking to join a dynamic, collaborative in-house team, while continuing to focus on litigation, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation and general liability for company
    • Review pleadings, attend depositions and court hearings, handle discovery, manage government investigations
  • Manage outside counsel in class actions
  • Strategically advise across different business units on litigation strategies
  • Be legal first point of contact for any accident/incident that happens on company grounds
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for legal department
  • Conduct cross functional trainings

Requirements:

  • JD from accredited law school
  • Good standing with at least one state bar
  • 7+ years of legal experience
    • Law firm and in-house preferred
  • Ideally experience in hospitality/entertainment industry
  • Experience handling premises liability litigation
  • Must be familiar with California and Florida laws
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with different business units
  • 5 days a week in Orlando, FL office
