Associate General Counsel

A rapidly growing clinical-stage biotechnology company is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to support its legal operations as it advances innovative therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This role offers the opportunity to shape legal strategy across regulatory, commercial, and data privacy domains in a dynamic, science-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory matters impacting clinical development and commercial operations.
  • Build and lead the company's first commercial compliance program, including training initiatives and policy development.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of agreements, including clinical trial, licensing, manufacturing, and vendor contracts.
  • Advise on promotional and advertising activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school; active bar membership in good standing.
  • At least 10 years of legal experience, including both in-house and law firm roles, with a focus on the life sciences sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing clinical-stage biotech or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating complex commercial and clinical agreements.
  • Working knowledge of global data privacy regulations, including GDPR.
