Assistant General Counsel

Overview

A leading global hospitality organization is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join its corporate legal team. The company operates a diverse portfolio of destination-based businesses, including lodging, tourism, transportation, cruise, and adventure travel services across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted legal partner to business units across operations, human resources, finance, marketing, risk management, engineering, sustainability, business development, and customer experience functions.
  • Lead the review, drafting, negotiation, and administration of a wide variety of commercial agreements, including service contracts, vendor agreements, consulting arrangements, construction-related contracts, marketing partnerships, and other strategic business transactions.
  • Provide counsel on corporate governance matters and support ongoing regulatory and compliance initiatives.
  • Advise leadership on financing arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate transactions while helping ensure compliance with existing contractual and financial obligations.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership regarding significant legal risks, business objectives, and company-wide initiatives.
  • Manage external legal advisors and support additional projects and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and barred in good standing
  • Minimum of six years of legal experience
  • Experience working on Financial M&A Transactions and Lending matters
  • Demonstrated expertise negotiating, drafting, and managing complex commercial contracts across multiple business functions.
