Labor & Employment Associate - Los Angeles (Hybrid)
A well-regarded national litigation firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 2+ years of civil litigation experience to join its Los Angeles team. This role offers the chance to work across the full spectrum of employment matters-including single-plaintiff cases, wage & hour class actions, PAGA actions, counseling, and compliance audits-within a supportive, growth‑focused environment.
This position is ideal for someone eager to take on meaningful case responsibility, work directly with clients, and develop both litigation and counseling skills alongside a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle labor & employment matters including single-plaintiff litigation, FEHA claims, wage & hour class and PAGA actions.
- Conduct discovery, prepare motions, and support trial preparation and trial proceedings.
- Advise clients on employment policies, compliance issues, workplace investigations, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with partners while managing tasks independently.
- Work with clients across a wide range of industries, gaining hands-on experience early.
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- At least 2 years of civil litigation experience, including discovery and motion practice; trial prep/trial experience is a plus.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently while thriving in a team environment.
- Exposure to FEHA, wage & hour, agency complaints, and other employment-related issues is preferred.
