System Director, Managed Care Counsel
A leading health system in Dallas is looking to bring on Counsel focused on Managed Care Contracting matters. This role is pivotal to the build-out of their managed care space and will be a high visibility role both within their Legal department as well as on the Operations side of the business.
In this role, you will provide legal services for managed care contract negotiation, interpretation, management, and dispute resolution for healthcare providers within a multi-state healthcare system. You will be responsible for drafting contracts, managing projects, and addressing managed care issues related to changes in federal or state laws, healthcare operations, and transactions. This position works closely with the Managed Care department, Legal department, and other System departments, including Revenue Cycle and Business Development. This seat reports into the VP Legal, with a dotted line to the General Counsel.
The ideal candidate has 5 or more years of experience working with Managed Care contracts, and can come from the Provider side, Payor side, or from a law firm working with Health Systems. This client is a leader in the Healthcare space in Dallas, and sits as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team of seasoned attorneys. This position has opened in an effort to bring in more of the organization's Managed Care Legal work in-house, as managed care related matters make up a large portion of this client's revenue.
This role does require candidates to be local to Dallas or open to relocation, the cost of which will be covered by the client.
