The Opportunity
A leading US law firm is looking to hire a talented Real Estate Funds Associate (3-4 PQE) to join its highly regarded London-based funds practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work with some of the most sophisticated real estate sponsors, fund managers, institutional investors and private capital platforms in the market. The team advises on the full lifecycle of real estate investment funds, from formation and structuring through to fundraising, secondary transactions, restructurings and strategic joint ventures.
The practice is known for handling complex, cross-border matters and regularly advises on flagship funds investing across logistics, living, office, data centres, hospitality and other alternative asset classes. The role offers exceptional exposure to both sponsor-side and investor-side work.
The Role
You will work closely with partners and senior associates on:
- Formation and structuring of closed-ended and evergreen real estate funds.
- Fundraising and investor negotiations.
- Joint venture and co-investment arrangements.
- Secondary transactions and portfolio restructurings.
- Strategic investments into real estate private equity platforms.
- Advising fund managers, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and family offices.
- Cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and investment structures.
The Candidate
You will ideally:
- Be a qualified solicitor with 3-4 years' PQE.
- Have experience in private funds, investment funds, real estate funds or private capital transactions.
- Have trained and qualified at a leading City, US or international law firm.
- Demonstrate excellent drafting and technical skills.
- Be commercially focused with strong client management capabilities.
- Enjoy working within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Have the ambition to develop into a key member of a growing market-leading team.
