In-House Counsel
A fast‑growing renewable energy developer is seeking a practical, solutions‑oriented Corporate Counsel to support commercial transactions, project development, and strategic legal initiatives across a national portfolio of distributed solar and storage projects.
This is a unique opportunity to join a mission‑driven team as the sole in‑house attorney, helping build scalable legal processes while working hands‑on across deals, development, regulatory matters, and project execution.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial and project‑related agreements
- Support project development, permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement
- Advise on regulatory and policy matters affecting renewable energy projects
- Lead legal support for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
- Improve contract workflows, templates, and systems
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams and manage external counsel
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years corporate, commercial, real estate, or renewable energy legal experience
- Strong transactional background and ability to manage complex agreements
- Excellent communicator with sharp problem‑solving skills
- J.D. + active bar membership
- Mountain West relocation preferred, but remote candidates considered
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $115,000-$200,000, depending on experience
- Bonus: Target 30% performance-based
