Employment Special Counsel (EPLI) - Remote
A national employment law practice is seeking an experienced Employment Special Counsel to join its fully remote team. This senior‑level role focuses exclusively on Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters and offers the opportunity to handle high‑quality, complex employment litigation for sophisticated clients and carriers. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of employment litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to independently manage a full EPLI caseload from intake through resolution.
Key responsibilities include drafting and responding to pleadings and motions, managing all aspects of written and electronic discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing clients and witnesses, conducting case assessments, communicating regularly with carriers and insureds, and representing clients in mediations, hearings, and other proceedings. Strong writing, analytical skills, and sound judgment are essential. The successful candidate will be responsive, organized, and able to thrive in a remote environment that requires proactive communication and efficient workflow management.
Applicants must be licensed and in good standing in the state where they reside and must live in one of the following approved states: CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, MO, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, or WA.
The annual salary range for applicable jurisdictions is $150,000-$240,000, depending on experience, location, skills, and other qualifications. This position also offers eligibility for performance‑based bonuses and includes a competitive benefits package. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
