Real Estate Paralegal
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join their legal team at a leading packaging manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and transactions, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role will support the legal department in managing real estate matters including acquisitions, leases, zoning, and compliance, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage real estate documents including leases, purchase agreements, easements, and closing documents.
- Coordinate and assist with real estate transactions, including due diligence, title review, and closing processes.
- Maintain and organize real estate files, databases, and records for owned and leased properties.
- Monitor lease obligations, renewals, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., facilities, finance, operations) and external parties (e.g., landlords, brokers, attorneys).
- Conduct legal research related to zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
- Support litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate matters.
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries for senior management and legal counsel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on real estate law.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, title and survey review, and lease administration.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
