We're working with a high-growth, long-term care provider that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities across multiple states. They're looking to bring on an experienced healthcare attorney to support transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and day-to-day legal matters. As the company's first legal hire, this person will play a key role in building their in-house function as they continues to scale.

This is a hybrid role in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of contracts, including vendor, service, and purchase agreements
  • Supporting M&A and strategic transactions, including due diligence, interfacing with external counsel, and managing deal documentation
  • Advising on regulatory compliance across healthcare operations, with a focus on risk mitigation and adherence to applicable laws and regulations
  • Handling corporate governance and entity-related matters, including formations, filings, and maintaining corporate structure documentation
  • Providing general legal support on employment issues, corporate operations, and cross-functional initiatives


Requirements

  • JD and active bar in any U.S. state
  • 4+ years of legal experience, preferably with healthcare law
  • Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations (Anti-Kickback, Stark Law, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience with corporate transactions and contract management
