Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Sourcing Compliance Specialist to support and enhance procurement compliance programs within a highly regulated environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring adherence to government regulations, internal policies, and supplier compliance requirements while driving continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain procurement compliance programs, policies, procedures, and monitoring tools.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments of procurement activities to identify compliance gaps and mitigate risk.
  • Review government purchase orders and procurement documentation to support compliance with approved purchasing system requirements.
  • Support small business program compliance reviews and audits to maintain favorable government ratings and regulatory standing.
  • Oversee supplier and vendor compliance activities, including due diligence, contract reviews, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Investigate potential compliance concerns, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement compliance matters, providing guidance to sourcing teams and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to increase organizational awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze procurement data and compliance metrics to identify trends, generate reports, and support process improvements.
  • Lead or support compliance-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Compliance & Regulatory Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of procurement compliance, government contracting requirements, supplier compliance programs, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of purchasing system requirements and government audit environments.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Proven ability to conduct compliance audits, assess risk, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Experience identifying process deficiencies and driving corrective actions.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Knowledge of supplier due diligence, vendor compliance monitoring, and contract-related compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage compliance risks throughout the supplier lifecycle.

Investigation & Problem Solving

  • Experience investigating compliance concerns, performing root cause analysis, and recommending effective resolutions.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Advanced proficiency in analyzing procurement and compliance data.
  • Ability to develop reports, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.

Communication & Training

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders and delivering compliance training programs.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with sourcing teams, legal, finance, and senior leadership.

Project Management

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working within a regulated industry such as aerospace, defense, manufacturing, government contracting, or related sectors.
  • Background supporting procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or compliance functions.
  • Experience interacting with government audits, reviews, and regulatory agencies is highly preferred.
