Head of Privacy Compliance
Our client is a global leader in business and financial technology. Their Legal & Compliance department plays a critical role in ensuring operations meet regulatory standards and uphold the highest ethical principles.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Privacy Compliance to lead the firms Americas privacy compliance program. This role will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining a robust privacy framework that aligns with evolving global regulations and supports the firms commitment to data integrity and client trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the firms global privacy compliance program.
- Monitor and interpret global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) and ensure organizational alignment.
- Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Product, and Risk teams to embed privacy-by-design principles across the firms products and services.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and oversee data subject rights request processes.
- Manage privacy audits, incident response protocols, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs across the organization.
- Serve as a senior advisor to leadership on privacy risks, controls, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance, preferably in a global technology or financial services environment.
- Deep understanding of global privacy regulations and frameworks.
- Proven leadership in building and scaling privacy programs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar certification preferred.
