Vice President, Counsel - Alternative Asset Manager
A leading Alternative Asset Manager is seeking a Vice President, Counsel to join their NYC-based legal team. This global registered asset manager focuses on asset-backed lending as well as structured credit and commercial real estate loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the legal structuring, execution, maintenance and financing related to various structured finance deals.
- Work closely with the firm's related business lines on new product development and launches.
- Coordinate with internal groups, deal counterparties, external counsel and service providers throughout the deal process.
- Stay informed of and monitor applicable regulatory developments.
Required Skills:
- J.D., Bar membership and 6+ years of experience in structured finance and securitization as well as an understanding of creditor rights and debt transactions.
- Experience with commercial real estate loans, securitization documents and other investment transaction documentation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with executive presence and work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands and projects simultaneously.
