Senior Compliance Officer
My client, a leading nonprofit and integrated healthcare delivery system, is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to play a vital role in upholding the organization's commitment to legal and regulatory excellence. Dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care and fostering healthier communities, the organization values integrity, personalized service, collaboration, and respect for diversity. In this role, the Senior Compliance Officer will lead efforts to ensure operations align with internal policies, external regulations, and the organization's Code of Conduct. Working closely with departments across the organization-particularly Internal Audit-they will help strengthen systems that support a culture of accountability and transparency. The position requires specialized expertise in areas such as training, policy and procedure development, internal investigations, auditing and monitoring of controls, risk assessments, and other key compliance functions.
Requirements:
- Conducting internal investigations and compliance reviews
- Delivering engaging training sessions on fraud prevention and ethical practices
- Developing and refining policies and procedures
- Monitoring risk and implementing controls to mitigate it
- Advising leaders on compliance matters and best practices
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in healthcare compliance or legal roles within a healthcare provider setting with a Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience is acceptable if you hold a Master's degree.
- Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Leadership Professional in Ethics and Compliance (LPEC) strongly preferred.
- General knowledge of governmental healthcare regulations required.
