Corporate Counsel
A well‑established organization in the energy and infrastructure sector is seeking a Corporate Counsel early on in their career (2-4 years of experience), to support its legal, regulatory, and risk management functions. This role works closely with senior leadership and internal teams to provide practical legal guidance across a wide range of corporate and operational matters in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support across the organization on corporate, regulatory, and operational issues.
- Draft, review, interpret, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of contracts and legal documents.
- Support real estate and land matters, including easements, surveys, title work, and property records management.
- Assist with employment‑related legal matters and policy compliance.
- Monitor and analyze proposed and existing federal and state laws and regulations impacting business operations and the utility industry, advising on potential impacts.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including industry reliability and compliance standards.
- Participate in enterprise risk management activities and recommend appropriate legal actions when necessary.
- Conduct legal research and develop internal guidance on compliance, governance, and risk.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- 2-4 years of experience practicing law.
- Prior experience in corporate law, infrastructure, utilities, or a regulated industry is preferred but not required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- In-office 4 days a week and 1 day remote work from home.
- Ability to perform routine office tasks, including light lifting (up to approximately 20 pounds).
- Limited travel may be required.
