KYC Analyst
Our client is a prominent global firm in the energy and commodities sector, known for its expertise in trading and delivering energy solutions to a wide range of industrial and national clients. In addition to its core trading operations, the company has made substantial investments in infrastructure assets around the world. With a presence in dozens of international offices, it supports a diverse customer base and plays a key role in global energy markets. This company is looking to bring on a KYC Analyst role to join a global due diligence team focused on applying a thoughtful, risk-based approach to Know your Customer (KYC) processes. The analyst will support counterparty onboarding, conduct screenings, and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure standards are met. The position offers exposure to various aspects of the company's operations and encourages analytical thinking over routine procedures. This position will be an experienced hire, not an entry level position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct onboarding and periodic reviews of counterparties
- Perform sanctions, PEP, and media screenings
- Verify and document KYC information and exceptions
- Collaborate with business and compliance teams to resolve issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years in due diligence, preferably in a commercial setting
- Experience with complex cases and PEPs
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and IT proficiency; Spanish/Portuguese a plus
