About Us:
We're seeking a Technology Patent Agent who is passionate about intellectual property and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you're ready to protect groundbreaking inventions and work alongside world-class engineers and scientists, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in a variety of technology areas (e.g., software, hardware, AI, telecommunications, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with inventors, engineers, and R&D teams to identify patentable inventions
- Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses
- Manage patent portfolios and support IP strategy development
- Work with outside counsel and global IP offices as needed
- 1700 billable hour requirement
What We're Looking For:
- Registered to practice before the USPTO
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Ideal Candidate:
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.)
- Experience with international patent prosecution (e.g., PCT, EPO)
- Familiarity with IP management software and docketing systems
