Senior Trial Attorney Role Summary
This attorney will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of cases involving auto‑related claims and general liability issues, among other assigned matters. Work will span from the opening of a file through its conclusion-whether by dismissal, negotiated resolution, or trial. Active membership with the Georgia Bar is a requirement.
Senior Trial Attorney Primary Responsibilities
- Manage every stage of the litigation process, such as drafting and responding to pleadings, conducting discovery, taking depositions, participating in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and appearing at trial when necessary.
- Review and analyze legal issues, determine potential exposure, and provide clear, well‑reasoned evaluations to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Communicate regularly about case progress and strategic considerations.
- Work toward efficient resolution of matters, including negotiating settlements and preparing related documentation.
Senior Trial Attorney Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel to the Metro Atlanta area
- Ability to appear in-person for court appearances
- Prior trial experience is beneficial and strongly preferred, but not mandatory.
- Background handling auto liability and/or general liability cases, either for plaintiffs or defendants.
- 5+ years of litigation and/or trial experience.
- Familiarity and competence with electronic filing systems.
- Active license in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for work‑related purposes.
