Labor and Employment Associate Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
- Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, employee discipline, and termination.
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
- Conduct internal investigations and provide training on employment law topics.
- Collaborate with cross-practice teams on M&A and other corporate transactions involving employment issues.
Labor and Employment Associate Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the jurisdiction of practice.
- 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably at a large law firm or boutique employment practice.
- Strong litigation and counseling skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage cases and client relationships independently.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Commitment to client service and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
