My client, a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 defense litigation firm, is seeking a Complex Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office. About the Opportunity
The firm is looking for a talented associate with experience in general liability, personal injury, transportation, and/or catastrophic injury defense. The position provides hands-on litigation experience, the chance to work with sophisticated national clients, and the ability to assume meaningful responsibility early on.
This is an ideal role for an attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment, values professional growth, and wants to work within a dynamic litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload from intake through resolution
- Draft motions, pleadings, reports, and discovery
- Handle depositions, court conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Communicate directly with clients and provide thoughtful, timely updates
- Prepare cases for trial and support trial teams as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice in New York
- 3-8 years of defense litigation experience (General Liability, PI, Catastrophic Injury, Transportation preferred)
- Strong writing, analysis, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, education, licensure, geographic location, market conditions, and other business needs. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary Range:
$160,000 - $190,000 USD
