Senior Contracts Counsel | New York, NY (Hybrid)

A well-established organization is seeking a Senior Contracts Counsel to join its legal team in a highly visible role reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer.

This position will serve as the lead legal resource for commercial contracting matters and own the full contract lifecycle, partnering closely with business leaders, vendor management, privacy, technology, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead negotiation and drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, technology, data licensing, consulting, and vendor contracts.
* Own the end-to-end vendor contracting process from intake through execution.
* Develop and implement contract management and vendor governance strategies.
* Create contract templates, playbooks, policies, and risk management frameworks.
* Partner with stakeholders across technology, operations, compliance, privacy, and procurement functions.
* Manage and optimize contract lifecycle management systems and processes.
* Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on commercial and operational matters.

Qualifications:

* J.D. and active U.S. bar admission.
* 6+ years of experience in-house and/or at a law firm.
* Strong background negotiating SaaS, technology, data privacy, and commercial agreements.
* Experience with U.S. privacy laws, including HIPAA and CCPA.
* Proven ability to build processes, improve efficiencies, and partner with business stakeholders.

Compensation: $200,000-$225,000 base salary
