Overview:
A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly ranked Transport & Asset Finance practice. The team advises on significant, market‑leading transactions across the rail and aviation sectors, with a particular strength in rolling stock finance. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative group of lawyers known for structuring, drafting, negotiating and delivering complex asset finance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Associate in the team, you will be involved in a broad range of high‑value, cross‑border work. For example:
- Advising clients on all aspects of asset finance, primarily within the rail sector, as well as aviation
- Running smaller matters independently
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating documentation
- Managing client relationships and ensuring seamless project delivery
- Supervising junior team members
- Conducting legal research and identifying key legal/commercial risks
- Participating in pitches and panel presentations
- Supporting wider business development and client initiatives
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- 2+ years' PQE within asset finance or a related banking/finance discipline
- Experience running asset finance transactions
- Rail sector experience (desirable)
- Aviation finance and general banking experience
- Exposure to cross‑border matters
- Strong technical ability, drafting skills and problem‑solving capability
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share expertise
- Confidence engaging with clients and managing delivery
- Clear, concise communication skills
- Commercial awareness, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability
