Associate General Counsel
We are partnered with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed life sciences organization focused on the development and commercialization of complex pharmaceutical and healthcare products. The company is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal leadership team and support a broad range of strategic business initiatives. This will be the organizations second internal legal hire.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to executive leadership on a wide range of legal, regulatory, and commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and strategic transactions, including supply, licensing, service, commercialization, and corporate agreements.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence efforts, and other corporate transactions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Procurement, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Development.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school
- 10-15 years of corporate and transactional legal experience
- Strong background in IP licensing, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial contracting
- Prior in-house experience in a high-growth and complex organization strongly preferred
- Experience within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or broader life sciences industry preferred
- Experience working with both domestic and international business partners preferred
