Assistant Counsel Operations
We are partnered with one of the nation's largest, long-term care pharmacy services providers who are looking to bring on an Assistant Counsel, Operations to join their growing legal team.
This position serves as a key legal resource, offering day-to-day guidance on a wide range of matters including healthcare compliance, contracts, employment, risk management, and general business operations. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented-someone who not only spots issues but also collaborates to resolve them effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and compliance support to operational leadership
- Conduct legal research, draft and review contracts, and assist with negotiations
- Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and support internal investigations
- Deliver training and guidance on legal standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and legal colleagues
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in healthcare, compliance, or in-house roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective communicator, especially with non-legal stakeholders
- Business-minded approach to legal counsel
- Experience in legal research and risk management
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and initiative
