Senior Legal Counsel - M&A (m/f/d) - Munich/Hybrid
Our client, a global leader in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel (M&A) to support complex international transactions and strategic corporate initiatives.
In this position, you will work closely with senior business stakeholders, advising on high‑impact M&A and corporate law matters that drive the company's long‑term growth and transformation.
Your work will span structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions worldwide, while serving as a key legal partner to multiple business units and external advisors.
Responsibilities
- Advise the global organization on all legal matters relating to M&A and corporate law.
- Structure, draft, and negotiate national and international M&A transactions, including acquisitions, public takeovers, divestitures, carve‑outs, and joint ventures.
- Provide guidance on a wide range of corporate governance and corporate law topics.
- Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners on M&A and corporate legal questions.
- Select, instruct, and manage external legal counsel globally.
Your Profile
- Fully qualified German lawyer (two state examinations) with strong academic results.
- Several years of experience in an international law firm or the legal department of a global company.
- Deep expertise in M&A transactions and corporate law.
- Strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, pragmatic advice.
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
